Mobile Casino for Dummies

Mobile CasinoEver since Apple kick-started the mobile revolution in the mid-2000s with the introduction of the smartphone, the world of mobile devices has never been the same! While in the beginning of the 21st century mobile phones were primarily used for conversations, occasional texting (remember – you had to pay for every text at the time, and it was relatively expensive) and maybe playing “Snake” and “Minesweeper”, ever since then having a mini-computer in the palm of your hand has opened up a whole world of possibilities! You can browse the Internet wherever you are thanks to 3G and 4G networks, you can stream movies and TV shows on Netflix and other similar services and you can play all sorts of different games that would’ve seemed impossible ten years ago! My latest addiction is “Avengers Academy”, on which I’m slightly embarrassed to admit I may have spent more money than on gambling these last few months!

Naturally, the increased processing power of phones and tablets has brought with it entirely new gambling opportunities. Mobile casino has been around for quite a few years, but it has only recently started to really take off thanks to a massive push from providers. Sadly, many people I’ve spoken with about this aren’t all too familiar with mobile casino, so I’m here to straighten up the score! The first thing you need to learn about it is that mobile gambling isn’t really all that different from online gambling in general – hell, 99% of the time you can even use your pre-existing accounts to sign in through your mobile device! I assume most of you already have an online casino of choice – most of the big brands already have a mobile version, so as long as you’re active on desktop, most of the work has already been done.

If you’re playing on an Apple device (iPhone or iPad) you need to open up the AppStore and search for the name of your casino of choice. Most have apps you can download which you can use to play their games without any hassle. Sadly, Google, the developers of Android, have rules against online casino apps, so if you own a phone or tablet that runs under Android (like a Samsung Galaxy or an LG), you’ll need to open up a browser and go to the online casino’s domain in order to access the web app. Web app are practically the same as downloadable apps, but as their name suggests are entirely online. If you own a Windows phone then it’s even easier, as the interface should be very similar from that of your desktop, while if you’re unlucky enough to own a Blackberry you might need to look into a casino operator which supports it, as not all of them do. That’s pretty much the basics! There are other places that can teach you everything you need to know about mobile roulette and playing other games on the go, so I’m not going to go into it. Have fun wasting time playing blackjack on your tablet while in bed!
